Hill lemon (C. pseudolimon Tanaka), an indigenous variety of lemon is generally grown in north India especially in the foothills of lower Himalayas due to its wider adaptability, high yield potential, tolerance to citrus canker, hardy to both hot and cold climatic conditions. Fruit is commonly used for the preparation of value added products like citric acid, pectin, lemon powder, pickle, squashes and candy. (en)
