A process which gives rise to a sudden rush of water out of a tank or pond. Many farmers "flush" their tanks or ponds by removing a pipe or board in order to remove solids particles, which have settled on the bottom near to the outlet.

Procédure qui donne lieu à l'évacuation soudaine d'eau d'un bassin ou d'un étang. Beaucoup d'aquaculteurs créent une "chasse" dans leurs bassins ou étangs en enlevant un tuyau ou une planche afin d'en enlever les particules solides qui se sont déposées sur le fond, près de l'évacuation d'eau.
