  • Olgunlaşmış pirinç bitkisinin hasat edildikten sonra geriye kalan sap ve yapraklarının saman makinesi veya dövenle öğütülmesi sonucu elde edilen, %4,5 civarında ham protein ve %34,5 civarında ham selüloz içeren, sindirilebilir protein ve organik madde bakımından buğdaygiller içerisinde iyi durumda olan, ham kül bakımından zengin, minerallerin büyük bir kısmını silisin oluşturduğu, ham selülozca zengin olduğundan sindirilebilirliği düşük olan, geviş getirenler ve atlara ek yem olarak yedirilebilen düşük kaliteli kaba yem.
