  • The yield response factor (Ky) captures the essence of the complex linkages between production and water use by a crop, where many biological, physical and chemical processes are involved. It addresses the relationship between crop yield and water use: relative yield reduction is related to the corresponding relative reduction in evapotranspiration (ET). (en)
